Kids washable rugs
The kids shelf is eight illustrated designs built for floors that get lived on: world maps with animals on every continent, a solar system, alphabet tiles, ocean and jungle scenes. The print is the lesson and the base is the practical part, because a floor a child plays on ends up in the wash more often than any other rug in the house.
The Kids shelf is one of five in the HazoHaus kids rugs catalogue, and every design on it shares the construction the brand is named for: low pile, non-slip backing, machine washable.
Floor play, by the book
The American Academy of Pediatrics recommends tummy time in short awake sessions on the floor, watched the whole time, building to fifteen to thirty minutes a day by around seven weeks. A firm, low-pile, washable surface is a good stage for that; the watching is still the grown-up's job.
