How we research this site
What we check, what we cannot check, and what we do when we get something wrong.
Where the product facts come from
Materials, pile heights, backing, sizes and prices are the brand's own published specifications, re-read against the product records before an update goes out. A claim that is not in a design's own specification does not appear on its page: the kids shelf says non-toxic because its specification does, and the other shelves do not say it because theirs do not.
Where the health material comes from
Journal pages that touch allergies, falls or infant floor play carry named sources from national bodies, opened and read before the citing sentence was written. Where the guidance is inconvenient, such as the fall-prevention advice against small loose rugs for older households, it is quoted whole rather than trimmed to the flattering half.
Reviews
Quoted reviews are verified purchases, printed as written. Excerpts end at sentence boundaries; nothing is reworded. Reviews whose text our collection lost are left out rather than reconstructed.
What we have not done
We have not run a lab test, commissioned a study or staged an unboxing, and no page here pretends otherwise. Where a claim would need one, it is either sourced to someone who did the work or it is absent.
Dates and corrections
The catalogue's update date is printed once, on the methods page. If something on this site is wrong, tell us at hello@hazohaus.net: it will be fixed, and the fix will be visible rather than silent. We would rather be corrected than be quietly wrong.
